Apex Scottsdale is the first ground-up build in the group's history. Six bays, $1.4 million in construction in 2014, in the North Scottsdale Airpark corridor at the corner of East Raintree Drive and North Hayden Road. The design language — anthracite-painted bays, brass-finish task lighting, ivory-parchment customer lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass — was established here and adopted across the group in the years that followed.
Scottsdale serves the heaviest concentration of luxury-vehicle customers in the group. The customer mix is approximately 65% European luxury (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Range Rover, Bentley), 20% Japanese luxury (Lexus, Acura, Infiniti), and 15% American performance (Corvette, Mustang Shelby, Cadillac CT5-V, Hellcat). The Scottsdale shop holds OE-level coding capability for BMW (ISTA + ICOM Next), Mercedes (XENTRY), and Porsche (PIWIS). The Saturday morning service block is the busiest in the group.
Scottsdale location manager
David Chen has been the Scottsdale location manager since 2019. He came to Apex from a BMW Service Center in Phoenix where he was a Master technician for nine years. David holds ASE Master + the BMW STEP Master credential and is the group's go-to for the most complex BMW and Mini electrical-systems work. The Scottsdale customer who specifically requests "the David shop" knows what they're asking for.
