Apex Gilbert opened in October 2023 — a $2.2 million ground-up build on a corner lot at South Val Vista Drive and East Pecos Road in South Gilbert. Ten service bays, the largest customer lounge in the group, and the first Apex location designed from day one with the Apex Fleet Solutions bay block integrated into the original facility plan rather than retrofitted.
The architectural language is the most refined expression of the Apex brand in any of the five locations. Anthracite curtain-wall exterior with brass-tone reveals. Floor-to-ceiling glass on the customer-lounge side. Polished concrete shop floor with brass-finish underbench task lighting. The customer parking lot is shaded by a covered metal canopy that doubles as a solar array supplying about 18% of the facility's electrical load.
Gilbert is the group's strongest hybrid and electric-vehicle service location. The shop holds the most up-to-date OE diagnostic equipment for Tesla (Model S/X/3/Y), Rivian (R1T, R1S), Ford F-150 Lightning, Lucid Air, and the broader emerging-EV platform set. The Bosch FSA hybrid analyzer and Autel MaxiSys EV equipment is current to the 2025 specification.
Gilbert location manager
Robert Whitfield has been the Gilbert location manager since the location opened in 2023. He came to Apex in 2022 from a Tesla Service Center in Mesa, where he worked as a senior service technician for six years on the Model S, Model 3, and Model X platforms. Robert holds ASE Master + Bosch certified hybrid/EV + Tesla service certification (legacy, pre-2023 SOC). He's the group's lead diagnostician on high-voltage traction-battery work and the only Apex manager who has personally serviced a Lucid Air.
