A dedicated commercial-fleet division. Separate bays. Separate account managers. Separate SLAs.
240+ accounts in the Phoenix metro. Municipal, landscape, plumbing-HVAC, delivery. The commercial wedge of Apex Auto Group since 2017.
Apex Fleet Solutions is the commercial-fleet maintenance division of Apex Auto Group. We founded the division in 2017 after a Tempe-based plumbing-HVAC contractor — Sonoran Plumbing Co. — asked Apex to take over fleet maintenance for their 14 service vans. Their prior vendor, a national chain, had charged retail rates, missed turnaround commitments, and lost paperwork on three vans. Apex bid the account at a fleet-discount labor rate of $108/hr against the chain's $145/hr. Sonoran signed for one year. They stayed for nine and are still an Apex Fleet customer today.
Apex Fleet Solutions today serves 240+ commercial accounts across the Phoenix metro. Fleet Solutions has its own bays at Tempe and Mesa — separated from the retail service bay rotation so fleet vehicles don't sit behind personal vehicles in the repair queue. Six dedicated fleet account managers across the group. An online customer portal where fleet managers can pull per-vehicle maintenance histories, schedule preventive-maintenance appointments, and run group-level utilization reports.
The Apex Fleet Solutions SLA is the operational discipline that distinguishes us from other Phoenix-metro multi-location independents. The SLA covers response time (4 business hours to estimate after drop-off), turnaround time (24 hours from estimate authorization on standard repairs), parts availability (95% first-time-fix rate on common commercial-vehicle parts because we stock them), and pricing transparency (fleet labor $128/hr vs. retail $145/hr; fleet parts markup 18% vs. retail 30%).
The four segments we know best are municipal and government, landscape and lawn care, plumbing-HVAC-electrical service vehicles, and delivery and logistics. Mixed-segment customers in construction and other trades are welcome but the four segments below are where our specialty depth concentrates.

FAQ
Frequently asked fleet questions.
How small can a fleet be to use Apex Fleet Solutions?
We accept fleet-account pricing for 3+ vehicles. Smaller operations are welcome at the retail rate but don't get the dedicated account manager or SLA-level commitments. Most of our Tier 2 customers run 8-22 vehicles.
Do you do roadside breakdown service?
Yes for Tier 2 and Tier 3 fleet customers (over $30K annual spend). 24-hour dispatch via a dedicated fleet number. Apex coordinates the tow to the nearest Apex location with available bay capacity and prioritizes the vehicle in the repair queue.
What's the difference between the fleet rate and the retail rate?
Retail labor is $145/hr. Fleet labor (Tier 2+) is $128/hr. Retail parts are marked up 30% over supplier; fleet parts (Tier 2+) are marked up 18%. Tier 3 customers ($120K+ annual spend) negotiate further by SLA.
Can you do scheduled preventive maintenance for our fleet?
Yes. Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers schedule per-vehicle preventive maintenance through the Apex Fleet portal. We pull mileage updates from the customer, schedule the service, dispatch the vehicle from the customer's lot if requested (Tier 3), and update the maintenance log. Annual fleet-utilization reports delivered at year-end.
Can you handle a mixed fleet — gas, diesel, and EV?
Yes. Apex services light-duty gas pickups, heavy-duty diesel platforms (Powerstroke, Cummins, Duramax), and commercial EV/hybrid platforms (Ford E-Transit, Ford Lightning Lariat, Rivian Commercial). Mixed-fleet customers route by platform to the location best equipped for that specific platform — Mesa for heavy-duty diesel, Gilbert for EV, Tempe for full-mix.
